LOCAL (via texas) folk'n country singer-songwriter. Peasants revolt is all about the apocalypse, with heavy themes of queerness, catholic angst, and... hot dogs? It's not exactly folk-punk but there's certainly a shadow of that sound here. Carter hits a blissful mix of beauty and absurdity with this one < 3

lo-fi guitar indie-pop from Austin Texas. Great 2020's mimicking the 90's mimicking 60's garage rock energy. Arrived in the mail via a handmade cd, and half the songs are in Russian.

Dorio - Agent Friday and The Perfect Angel
This Austin TX based duo bring twee and classic pop sensibilities into their chill club music. The electro/acoustic mix reminds me heavily of the recent ear album, but a little more bubblegum. Sorta like a lo-fi laptop version of 2000's recession pop.

Love Spells - Love Is The Law
Love Is The Law is the debut full length from Houston LA via TX artist Love Spells, aka Sir Teagan Harris. The reverb drenched recordings recall bits of 70s singer songwriters, also Harris's falsetto on this release is so peaceful and beautiful < 3

Sixth album from this LA-based indie rock band weaving together power pop, new wave, and slacker rock. (I wil admit I went into this album thinking I would hate it, but damn the songs are catchy.)
