New albums, now in rotation
Beabadoobee - Pylon
Filipino/British indie-pop darling. This album pushes her signature bedroom pop into a bigger grunge/rock direction. The features are pretty much a checklist of the biggest names in mainstream alt-rock, including Hayley Williams, Brendan Yates (Turnstile), Evan Stephens Hall (Pinegrove) Chino Moreno (Deftones) and Shane Moran (Title FIght).

One Big Quilt - Vertical Farming
LOCAL emo/jazz/math rock. This is One Big Quilt's first record, we also had their singer Winnie's recent solo record in rotation last winter. Really incredible guitar work!

Babehoven - I see them, I see me
Hudson NY based indie folk rock duo of Maya Bon and Ryan Albert. This is their third album, and it was made at their home studio where they live with their two blind cats. Babehoven have been making music since 2018, and their new record is perhaps the most lush and developed of their catalogue. Kinda Gilmore Girls-esque.

Jawdropped - Secret To Spare
Debut album from this LA-based rock band. Nice nostalgic 90s alt-rock feel. Out on Canvasback/Transgressive records. The album was self-produced by Jawdropped, and mixed by alt-country mastermind Alex Farrar (MJ lenderman, Waxahatchee). Also Gilmore Girls-esque, perfect for sunny days in early fall.

Bedroom Powerpop from Sydney Australia. Perfectly lofi, perfectly catchy. No notes.

Winter - Romantix Mixtape EP
Collection of bonus tracks and alternate versions of songs from Winter's 2025 album Adult Romantix. Really nice and hypnotic slowcore/dream-pop.

Subpop Comp. - Maximum MN
Current Subpop artists covering Minnesota legends. Proceeds from this benefit album go to The International Institute of Minnesota, a local organisation helping recent immigrants. The best track on here is Mudhoney's cover of 'Rubber Room' by Halo of Flies. The funniest is Pissed Jeans covering 'The Body Rules' by Jesse Ventura. (Go look up the original music video.)
