This is Lorelei - The Singer In my Band
This is Lorelei (aka Nate Amos) has been putting out records since 2012, steadily building up the cult following he has today through his solo singer-songwriter work and his more experimental project Water From Your Eyes. The best songs on here feature these really catchy grand arrangements, while still feeling direct and personal. I especially love his Elliott Smith style double tracked vocals. The Singer In My Band is his label debut for Matador.

Alexalone - nomoreshoegaze
Slowcore from Austin TX with some lovely haunting spidery post-rock parts. Front person Alex Peterson has been experimenting with drone + noise rock on bandcamp since 2015. This new record is his self-released follow up to 2023's TECHNICAL RESEARCH which came out on Polyvinyl. This is being sent out to radio early ahead of its release next week !

Angela Autumn - Believer
Folk/Country singer originally from Western PA, now based in Nashville. She describes her music as re-inventing folk tradition through the lense of eco-feminist transcendentalism. Released on Gar-Hole records. She has a really unique vocal styling, imagine if Jessica Pratt was a little more hyper and country.

Cor De Lux - Year of The Horse
Post-Punk Band from North Carolina's Outer Banks. This is their third record since 2020. I love the interplay between the two vocalists, Dawn Moraga and Tim Lusk.

PRETTY SICK - Anarchy
Hyperpop from NYC-based artist Sabrina Fuentes. This is her Fourth LP since 2020, although her previous work is more rock/shoegaze oriented.

Sylvan Esso - Ow Infinity
Electro-pop duo from North Carolina. This is their first new album in four years, and the first to be released on their own label, Psychic Hotline.

Ezra Collective - Here Because of Hope
UK jazz quintet known for their international sound that blends together afrobeat, calypso, reggae, soul, and hip-hop. This is their fourth and most ambitious album. It's designed in 3 movements tracing the history of the black diaspora from Africa, across the ocean to the Caribbean, before landing in London. Most of these songs are on the longer side but they are daaaamn good.
