VERSKOTZI is the LA based, award winning artist, songwriter, and producer Joey Verskotzi. VERSKOTZI is signed to Angry Mob Music for publishing and Preach Records (Universal) as an artist. Known for his diverse Folk/Rock sound, VERSKOTZI has received praise from The Fader, Ear Milk, The Source, Notion, WeFoundNewMusic, AllThings Go, Celeb Mix, Kings of A&R, and has mentions in Rolling Stone and The Guardian. “SHIRING” is his 3rd full length LP and is a total return to his roots in rock & roll and folk music. Recorded with nothing but live instruments in Nashville, the album showcases VERSKOTZI in his rawest form yet. VERSKOTZI wrote, produced, and mixed the entire album himself, with the exception of a few co-writes. “SHIRING” is the mantra VERSKOTZI uses when he meditates and as a single word represents the rebirth of The Self. Meditation is something Joey adopted when he made the decision to get sober in 2020, a decision that changed his life and inspired this album.
